Special Event in My Life

First Day

            In this post, I want to share about my special event. I was born in this world in Harapan Kita Hospital Jakarta. When I was born there, all of my family came. Started from my grandfather, grandmother, my uncle, my aunt, etc from my mother also my father came to see me because I was the first grandchildren from my father’s family and the second grandchildren from my mother’s family.

            Then, I will tell about my first day at school. Every first day I entered school, in kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, and vocational high school, my mother always accompanied me to go to school to find my new class, especially, when I entered into my elementary school at 1^st grade. I  met one of my friends who studies with me together again in this university with the same major named Jeremy. He used to very fat and funny. He was fatter than me. I often invited him to join a running competition because I was sure that I would win the competition.

            In this university world, I met many friends. However, I just met 3 crazy friends who have a same thought with me. They are Jeremy, Tris, and Kristian. Every free time in campus, I always chat with them. Do everything in campus with them. For me, they are my bestfriends that I found in this university. I hope, we can keep that relation.

People Around Me

People Around Me

            Okay, I will introduce my family. Starting from my small family. My father, my mother and my little brother. Starting from my father. My father’s name is Soegijono Soesilo. He was born in August 15^th 1971 in Surabaya. So, now he is 45 years old. He is a very slim guy. His weight is around 55 kilograms and his height is around 165 centimeters. When I was kid, he liked to invite me to go around the city of Jakarta by car. He always taught me everything about life rules. He is a very wise and discipline person. He used to scold me when I did something bad or wrong. Now, he works as a driver in Madiun. Something that I still remember about him until now is about nap. He used to command me to take a nap everyday. However, sometimes I did not do it. I chose to play with my friends than took my nap. From that, my father always scolded me if I did not want to take my nap.

            My mother’s name is Lily Hartiningsih. She was born on December 5^th 1969 in Madiun. So, now she is 47 years old. Her weight is around 60 kilograms and her height is around 160 centimeters. When I was kid, she often escorted me from home to school and she always take care of me about school stuffs. Now, she is a housewife. One of the memories that I still remember until now is that my mother always prepared everything about my school stuff. From the book, bag, until food for my lunch at school.

            My little brother’s name is Joshua. He was born on April 21^st 2001 in Jakarta. So, now he is 15 years old. Now, he is a junior high school student in Sint Bernard Junior High School in Madiun. He is in 3^rd grade of junior high school. He will continue his senior high school at Surabaya, at Saint Mary Senior High School. His weight is around 40 kilograms and his height is around 170 centimeters. He likes playing football, basketball also badminton. His passion is in sport. I have ever fought with me just because a small thing like food or toy and that is the thing that I still remember about my little brother.

            I have many friends. But I want to tell about one of my friends. His name is Jeremy. His full name is Jeremy Budi Prayogo. He was my childhood’s friend when I was in elementary school in Kalam Kudus Surabaya, exactly in the 1^st grade. He was a very fat person. The special memory about him that I still remember is about race. I used to invite him to have a race with me, the running race. Because he was fatter than me so, I always won when had a race with him. Now, he wears glasses. His weight is 87 kilograms and his height is 171 centimeters. He enters the same university and the same major with me. He drives a car to go to campus. He likes Japanese stuffs. He is a smart boy. He loves English especially tenses and grammar. His structure score is always good. Sometimes his structure score is better than me.

            Okay, that’s all about people around me, my family and also my friend.

          In this post I will write my second journal. I think i have to move on from my mistakes in my writing before. I have learnt more and more about grammar, part of speech, chronological order, and also about punctuation.

I have finished some assignments, and from that I have known about some small mistakes. Then, I have to revise it to be a good post. I conscious that I still made a lots mistakes in write a post. Start from grammar, sentences(I often make just a clause not a sentence), and from a very small things that is very crucial, punctuation and preposition.

Midterms is right in front of your eyes! I need to study again about grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and about sentence. I will read more about many texts. Including, descriptive, narrative, recount, procedure, etc. I very hope that i also all of my friends in writing 1 class can pass the midterm test with the best score. I hope God bless us.

All about me

       Hi!. Today, I want to write my autobiography. All of me will be written here. Okay, check this out.

          My name is Jeffrey. My full name is Jeffrey Jaya. I was born on 26^th of September 1997 in Jakarta. Now, my weight is 92 kilograms and my height is 173 centimeters. So, you can imagine how big I am. I have a round face. My eyes are small and black. Both of them are normal. I have thin eyebrows. My nose is flat and I have white complexion, yeah white enough when compared with another man.

          Now, I will talk about my personality. In my opinion, I am a serious person. I am also a tough guy, sometimes I also can be a stubborn person. If I have decided to do something, my decision will be very difficult to change although maybe my decision will hurt other people. Then, I am not a stingy person too, I like giving something if I have more to my family or my friend. I will be tough and very assertive to thing that concerns with a ministry thing. Especially, PAW (Praise and Worship) ministry. Yeah, because I am also from that ministry as a drummer in my church. In my friends’ side, they think the same thing about me that "I am a serious person and very difficult to joke". Actually, I also can make my friend laugh because of me or my joke. For me, when the time for being serious, you should be serious, however, when the time for being joke, you may be joke.

            In this post, I will write my first journal of writing 1 lesson. I have learnt how to write something well. From the sentences, part of speech, capitalize, punctuation, etc. At first meeting, I have known about the syllabus of writing 1, what would we do in writing class and known about many assignments that we must finish before the mid-term test and before the fin-term test. One of them is make a blog. I think this is a new assignment for writing 1 class this year. And most of the student was excited to do and make their own blog.

            I have learnt about sentences. I have just known that some words can be called as sentences if they have a subject and predicate or verb. Then, my lecturer told us that as a university student, we must be able to make sentence that is consists of 6 until 7 words, not just 4 or 5 words. I also learnt about the noun phrase in the sentence. E.g: One language camp teaches Japanese. “Camp” is the noun phrase and “teaches” is the predicate or verb. Then, about the blog, my lecturer told me to make a post in the blog about the introduction, all about me as the writer or owner, and we had to make a post about our unique experience. Then, I made it. After made it, the lecturer gave me the comment on the post.

            I have learnt about a preposition phrase, adjective and adverbs. I have just learnt if adverbs always explain the verb. Then, for the blog assignment, we had to comment at least 6 or 7 friend’s experience. Then, my lecturer gave me the hard-copy revision for the post that i had to revise the post, and submit it soon. From the revision, I can know and learn more about punctuation, capitalize, etc.

            But, i still need to learn more about the writing method. From the punctuation, a good sentence, capitalize, especially about adjective and adverbs. I want to improve it. So, next time i can write or make a post in my blog well without a mistakes.
